In 1873 Smith Engineer society Gutta-Percha during the development of its instrumentation for the measurement and control of the laying of submarine cables and discovers studying the photo conduvtivity of selenium and shall notify in a letter to a Latimer Clark February 4 1873 and subsequently publish his research in the journal Nature on 20 February 1873 |
